How we keep this current
How these pages are made. We research each page with the help of AI tools. We then check every rule against its official source: the statute, the administrative rule, or the state agency's own page or document. Stephen Best at S4IS reviews each page before it is marked Reviewed by S4IS. Each page lists its sources and the date we last checked them. Where we could not confirm a rule on an official source, the item is labeled Confirm with the agency, and we have asked that agency. If you find something out of date, tell us and we will check it.
What the labels mean
- We checked this against the official rule or agency page on the last-checked date.
- We have asked the state agency to confirm this, or the official source could not be opened. Check it before you act on it.
- This rule is in the middle of an update. Check the date and the source before you rely on it.
Review stages
- In review
- Researched and checked against sources; Stephen's review or an expert review is still open.
- Reviewed by S4IS
- Stephen has read and approved the page.
- Expert reviewed
- A named outside reviewer has checked it.
How often we re-check
Every page shows its last-checked date. We re-check a page at least every 120 days, and sooner when a rule we track changes. Agency answers are added in batches every two weeks.
Dates we are watching
- November 1, 2026: Mott Community College statewide articulation agreements expire (Michigan).
- December 11, 2026: the federal continuing resolution that carries Perkins funding ends.
- February 15, 2027: SparkNC's final evaluation report is due.
- Every year: Arizona's regional in-demand list and state credential lists are revised.
Not legal advice
These pages summarize rules to help you plan. They are not legal advice. Before you place students at a work site or change a program, check with your state agency, your district's counsel and your insurance carrier.
